description
- Modern research increasingly depends on computational workflows, yet much of the context needed to understand and reproduce them is lost once a run completes. This demo presents the FONDA-VIVO platform, developed within the S1 subproject of FONDA (SFB 1404) at Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin. The platform extends VIVO to treat scientific workflows as structured, linked research objects rather than isolated technical events. An automated collector captures workflow execution metadata, including runtime, energy consumption, CO₂ emissions, CPU/GPU usage, and software environment details, and links this information to related publications, workflow code, and execution logs. This allows researchers to compare workflow versions, identify resource-intensive steps, and better support computational reproducibility. The demo shows the live platform at vivo-fonda.hu-berlin.de and present how VIVO has been extended to cover more of the computational research lifecycle in data-intensive, workflow-driven CRC research.
